Wyatt began in the humblest of settings—our founders, Wes and Dick Wyatt, started out in their mother’s basement in 1967. Even then, the brothers saw the future of construction in the innovation and efficiency of prefabrication, and poured their energy into developing new methods that would shape the company (and challenge the status quo) for decades to come.
By 1970, they launched our first panel fabrication shop and quickly pioneered exterior wall panel systems in the early ’70s. In 1978, we landed the Century Three Mall project in Pleasant Hills, PA—our first $2 million job, a milestone that set the stage for even bigger things. As our reputation grew, so did our projects and capacity. We expanded our capabilities to include interior construction, high-end millwork and casework, and fireproofing. High-profile work, including many key buildings in Philadelphia’s skyline, became the norm.
Fast forward to today: after a decade of R&D, we introduced a proprietary gasketed system that delivers weather-tight performance – another leap forward for the industry. With the opening of our state-of-the-art, 130,000 sq. ft. fabrication facility in Smithton, PA (more than quadruple the size of our original shop), we’re now equipped to deliver even more value to our clients.
